AS-2292-95/Humboldt Del.

WHEREAS, His name may be Simon but simple he is not; and

WHEREAS, Senator Simon Green has assessed numerous proposals to establish elaborate assessment schemes within the CSU and has found them all wanting; and

WHEREAS, Senator Green, always concerned with the welfare of the Senate, conserved the Senate's per diem funds by lodging at the Beachtown, in spite of  having to deal with late night knocks on his door and occasional phone calls from ladies of the evening; and

WHEREAS, Senator Green has strong beliefs that the Academic Senate of the California State University represents the faculty, not the management of the CSU; and

WHEREAS, Senator Green, in ensuring that the chutzpa voice of the senators be heard, in addition to serving on the Constitutional Review Task Force, recommended four amendments to his committee's long list of recommendations, including but not limited to ensuring proxy votes for the sick, travel restricted, weather stranded, and generally absent senators not able to cast a 5 p.m. Friday afternoon vote on a most crucial and critical Senate resolution; therefore be it

RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of the California State University wish Senator Green success on his return to Humboldt State University's academic senate and its history department; and be it further
