How to search for a Voluntary Product Evaluation Template (VPAT)

1. Search directly on the Vendor's website or use "Google" to search through it using the following terms:
• 508 Template,
• Accessibility Template,
• Section 508, or
• VPAT
2. Contact the Vendor directly.  Refer to the listing below as to what to say and give to the vendor in order to obtain the VPAT:
1. Call the Vendor and ask to speak to someone who can help you obtain theVPAT. If they are unsure what a VPAT is provide the following explanation:

In order for California State University to purchase a product from you, we will require documentation on how compliant the product is for people with disabilities.

2. Send the Blank Voluntary Product Evaluation Template (VPAT) to the Vendor.
3. Tell the Vendor to follow the guidelines included in the beginning of the Blank VPAT before filling it out.
