Nomination and Election Process
The alumni association for each campus may nominate up to two alumni for the position of Alumni Trustee. If you are interested in being considered as a nominee, please contact your campus alumni association to learn about their process for determining nominees. The nomination period runs from July 1 to November 1, 2013. The Alumni Trustee must be a graduate of a CSU campus.
The process of vetting nominees is managed by the Alumni Council Trustee Selection & Evaluation Committee (TSEC). From among the nominees, the TSEC will select semi-finalists to be interviewed in-person at the CSU Office of the Chancellor in Long Beach on December 10-11, 2013. From among the semi-finalists, finalists will be chosen to be interviewed by the full Alumni Council board of directors at their meeting on March 21, 2014 at Fresno State. The Alumni Trustee will be elected at that meeting by a majority vote of the Alumni Volunteer members of the Alumni Council. The term will begin on May 21, 2014 and run until June 30, 2016.
