Bob Linscheid is President & CEO of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the largest and most inclusive business membership organization in San Francisco. Acting on its mission to attract, develop and support business in the city, the Chamber serves more than 1,500 member businesses and 200,000 employees through advocacy, business and economic development, and its foundation partners the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), ChinaSF, Leadership San Francisco (LSF) and Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE).
Before joining the Chamber in 2013, Linscheid served as Managing Director of Innovate North State, the leading innovation catalyst organization in Northern California working to grow innovative companies and boost economic competitiveness. In addition to founding his own management consulting company, Linscheid has served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Chico Chamber of Commerce, Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and Antioch Chamber of Commerce. Serving California businesses and communities for more than two decades, Linscheid has provided leadership for public, private and nonprofit organizations on public policy, economic development and other issues critical to the California’s continued economic success.
Linscheid currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the California State University Board of Trustees, and has served on the Board since 2005. Linscheid received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Public Administration from Chico State University and has received numerous service awards including the College of Business Person of the Year Award, Western Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives Executive of the Year Award and Rotary District 5160 Humanitarian of the Year Award.
