General Information

The amount of budgeted funds allocated each year will be based on the budgeted fund balance remaining after all other bonus/stipend programs are paid. Budgeted funds for bonus/stipend programs were provided to campuses as part of the 2000-2003 compensation pools. The SCO with the assistance of HR-ISA will identify and process these payments annually.

The following outlines the specific program criteria:

May 1st of the respective fiscal year will be used to determine eligible employees and their time base for the purpose of computing individual bonus amounts (e.g., May 1, 2008 for the FY 2007/08 BSM bonus).

The employee must be active or on leave in a Unit 4 position.

Hourly intermittents are excluded.

Full time employees will receive the same bonus amount, while part time employees will receive a prorated amount based on time base.

Should the amount fall below $100.00 per full time employee, the funds will be rolled over to the next year's BSM pool.

Employees can be separated or in a non-Unit 4 position at the time of payment.

For active employees, the BSM payment may be issued in any active position.

For separated employees, the BSM payment will be issued in the qualifying Unit 4
position as of the May 1st eligibility date.
