Service Learning and RTP Guide developed by CSU Long
Dr. Valerie McKay, Associate Director of the Community Service Learning
Center at California State University Long Beach, has developed
a Retention, Tenure, & Promotion (RTP) document for service-learning
faculty. This document focuses on CSULB policies and procedures
relating to the RTP process, it can also be a helpful model for
others who are seeking to establish guidelines for tenure-track
service-learning faculty. To access the Service Learning and RTP
Guide, click here.
Integrating Service Learning into the campus RTP document
at CSU Sacramento
At CSU Sacramento, the Office of Community Collaboration, and its
CSUS service-learning scholars group, successfully advocated for
service learning to be incorporated into the campus retention, tenure,
and promotion document. This significant accomplishment signifies
a change in academic culture at CSU Sacramento. To access the RTP
document at CSU Sacramento, click here.
