STEM Engaged Learning
CSU STEM VISTA Program

quoteWith 23 campuses spread across nearly every region of the state, the CSU plays a vital role in providing hands on education to California’s future workforce. Higher education is the antidote to poverty, crime, violence. An investment in higher education is an investment in the fabric of California.”

Chancellor Timothy P. White

In July 2014, the CSU Center for Community Engagement (CCE) launched the first systemwide AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) program, CSU STEM VISTA: Building Institutional Capacity for a Stronger Baccalaureate.

In alignment with the values and priorities of the Center for Community Engagement (CCE) in the California State University (CSU), Office of the Chancellor, the CSU STEM VISTA program advances the CSU’s commitment to inclusivity, equity and student success in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Our work is focused on eliminating race, class, and gender disparities in STEM.
