The Real-time Environmental Monitoring and Observation Technology (REMOT) system based at San Diego State University (SDSU) is a real time environmental data collection network that provides weather, water quality, ecosystem flux and imagery data from sites in southern California, Baja California and Alaska.  All data are publicly available online and are used in biology, ecology, geology, anthropology, climate research, community outreach, weather forecasting and emergency response.
