Architecture and Engineering

CPDC A/E acts as the systemwide voice on architectural and engineering issues. This Unit provides campus advisory and management support, manages and conducts systemwide training. In part, the Architecture and Engineering unit provides development and management of the CSU policies used to guide responsible development of the CSU built environment.

A/E develops and maintains the CSU model professional agreements, the systemwide architectural prequalification program, and manage the Mechanical Review and Seismic Review boards. CPDC A/E is the system resource on Code compliance and provides a system voice for related Code and legislative initiatives. The A/E Unit Chief acts as the senior building official for the CSU system.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The 2016-17 expiration date for current CSU Prequalified Architectural Firms has been extended from June 30, 2017 to December 31, 2017.

2017-18 period prequalification applications are currently being processed. 2017-18 period architectural prequalification letters are expected to be issued over the summer period.
