CSU Owner Controlled Insurance Program

The Trustees established a CSU Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) to be used on all projects with a construction cost estimate greater than $10 million. OCIP requirements are included in the following CSU Contract General Conditions for Major Projects: Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Collaborative Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk with Guaranteed Maximum Price, and Auxiliary Design-Bid-Build. Campus staff must review Article 4.07, Insurance Requirements, contained in the Supplementary General Conditions, and select the appropriate language for the project.

Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. is the administrator for this program. Please review the document "Wrap-up Capabilities" below, which is an overview of the OCIP program. Contact the Alliant staff listed at the bottom of this website prior to preparing bid documents for your project, so that all required OCIP documents are included. Alliant staff shall be involved in the pre-proposal meetings to facilitate full understanding of the cost recovery process.
