Disability Accommodation

Employment Disability

The federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) enforced by the Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), enforced by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), prohibit employment discrimination and harassment based on a person's disability or perceived disability. They also require employers to reasonably accommodate qualified individuals with mental or physical disabilities unless the employer can show that to do so would cause an undue hardship. Employees seeking reasonable accommodations OR information about the campus process for requesting an accommodation should contact their campus HR office.

CSU Executive Orders 883 and 927, as well as provisions in the various collective bargaining agreements, prohibit disability discrimination.
