From the Editor's Desk

Greetings!

I am the incoming editor of the Libraries @ Calstate newsletter and a newcomer to the CSU, being a recent transplant from UCLA. It has been particularly gratifying for me to gain insight into the CSU by working on this issue's focal point: "CSU Library Faculty Stars." CSU Library administrators and faculty are leaders in library and information studies, designing and implementing innovative programs that serve as models nationally and internationally. These talented information professionals are exemplars in their areas of research and practice. Their collective achievements would fill a tome. Many of you have established valuable relationships and partnerships with them on your campuses. Taking into account space considerations, only a handful of faculty are profiled in the sections that follow.

After getting to know more about library faculty and administrators, take a few more moments to discover progressive activities taking place in the Information/ICT Literacy arena, new and relevant discipline-based online resources, and exciting enhancements for searching.

I am thrilled to be a part of the CSU and look forward to communicating timely and worthwhile information that will advance our mission and goals. I welcome your comments and ideas.
