Cdigix Selected by the University of California School System to Offer Digital Media Services to UC and Cal State University Students
Leading Digital Media Service Provider Chosen to Offer its Services to Up to 33 California Campuses; Company Also Announces Series of New School Contracts
Englewood, CO, July 18, 2005 – Cdigix, the leading provider of legal digital media services exclusively focused on the college marketplace, today announced that it has been selected by the University of California system to provide its broad-based digital entertainment and educational services to campuses that choose to offer its services. Campuses in the California State University system will also have access to license Cdigix services under this agreement.
The Cdigix selection is the result of a seven-month search that the two California state systems embarked on last fall in response to growing demand from their students. The UC system is comprised of 10 campuses extending throughout the state of California, including UC Berkeley, UCLA and UC San Diego, and is attended by more than 200,000 students. The California State University system consists of 23 campuses including Cal State University Northridge and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and boasts a student body of about 400,000.
