2808.01.07.03  LEGAL COUNSEL

The institution should not hesitate to contact available legal counsel, both 
within the CSU system and counsel retained by the institution's collection 
agencies.  In certain cases, failure to obtain legal advice may result in 
inadvertently compromising the campus's ability to collect the loan.
