Contribution Highlights:

• The dollar value of gift commitments increased by 22 percent over the prior year. The number of gifts increased by 26 percent.
• A newly initiated planned giving program acquired a $2.4 million bequest.
• The Coeta and Donald Barker Foundation gifted $1 million for a scholarship fund that supports nursing students at the Palm Desert campus.
• The Arrowhead Distinguished Executive Luncheon raised $250,000 in support of the College of Business and Public Administration.
• The California Wellness Foundation, which provides grants for health promotion, wellness education and disease prevention, awarded a three-year $240,000 grant to support nursing education.
