Darryl Hamm joined the California State University Office of General Counsel in 2005. He is currently University Counsel for California State University, Dominguez Hills. He previously served in a similar role at California State University, Fresno, Bakersfield, Humboldt State University and San José State University. In addition to his responsibilities as University Counsel, Darryl also serves as a member of Academic and Student Affairs team and as the Office of General Counsel's resource attorney for Affirmative Action, Proposition 209, First Amendment and FERPA. Prior to joining CSU, he served as a Senior Attorney at two different nonprofits, Legal Services for Children and National Center for Youth Law in the Bay Area, a staff attorney for the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights in San Francisco, and was in private practice as a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco. Darryl also served as a judicial law clerk for Justice Allen E. Broussard of the California Supreme Court after graduating from law school.
