Devon Meyers

Devon Myers joined the California State University's Office of General Counsel in May 2024, as University Counsel-Civil Rights. Devon's primary responsibilities are to provide advice and counsel to four or five campuses within an assigned region and to the systemwide Office of Civil Rights regarding CSU's Nondiscrimination Policy and Procedures. Devon started her career at White & Case LLP as a litigator. While there, she was on the trial team for the case that successfully challenged the Federal government's “Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. Devon then worked at Scheper Kim & Harris LLP, a white-collar misconduct boutique law firm. Devon next served as an Assistant United States Attorney for almost ten years in the Central District of California, including as a Deputy Chief in the General Crimes Section. While she was there, Devon acted as the Project Safe Childhood Coordinator and the Human Trafficking Coordinator and prosecuted crimes against children, stalking cases, and human trafficking cases, among others.  In 2022, she received the Homeland Security Investigations Prosecutor of the Year award and the Assistant Attorney General's Exceptional Service Award. Devon also externed for the Honorable Stephen R. Reinhardt, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and clerked for the Honorable Alicemarie H. Stotler, Central District of California. She is admitted to practice law in California.
