Ken Fulgham, Ph.D.

Outstanding Service Award, 2013-14
Humboldt
Department of Forestry & Wildland Resources

Service is what we do for others, or a situation to find a meaningful solution. Most of my accomplishments have been done as a team member working towards that solution.
Ken Fulgham has been an exemplary model of service, providing thoughtful leadership that has evolved in step with the challenges Humboldt State University’s faculty has faced.

Fulgham is the outgoing chair of the Department of Forestry and Wildland Resources. He has held many prominent faculty leadership positions with the concerted focus of advocating for the academic community’s involvement in the operations of the university. His roles have included general faculty president, chair of the Academic Senate and president of the California Faculty Association.

Along with his on-campus activities, Fulgham’s distinguished representation of the university with external professional and academic organizations earned him Humboldt State University’s 2014 Outstanding Service Award.
