Ana Medic came to California State University, Chico in 2012 from Serbia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Masters of Science degree in ecology and environmental protection from the University of Belgrade. Ana was enrolled in the Professional Science Master’s Program at CSU, Chico. Ana is fluent in English, Spanish, and Serbian. 

Ana’s thesis at the University of Belgrade involved research of endogean insects of Carabidae family in the mountain area of western Serbia. During her studies, she was actively involved with a student organization named “Endemit” and in 2004, this group conducted research on insect biodiversity on National Park Djerdap grounds in Serbia.
