Education is not only about learning what other people have discovered, it is also about discovering who we are and what we can do for the betterment of society.
Anil Shrestha has been a CSU Fresno faculty member since 2008. He brings a wealth of first-hand field and research experiences from various parts of the world to his classes. He teaches courses such as Weed Science, Pesticides, Aspects of Crop Productivity, and Biometrics which help students prepare themselves to work in a profession that feeds the world. He has also taken his teaching and research findings to the agricultural community in California and to students and faculty in places as far away as Nepal.
Shrestha received the California Weed Science Society’s ‘Award of Excellence’ in 2014, Fresno State’s Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2015, and the Weed Science Society of America’s Outstanding Teacher Award in 2016.
