Served as an assistant coach for CSUB's men's and women's soccer programs, helping lead what was the university's most successful NCAA years. Gunn continues to mentor CSUB players and coaches
As head coach at Fort Lewis College in Colorado, Gunn's team won the 2005 Division II Championship. At the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Gunn led his men's squad to the school's first Division I championship game, and in 2011 he received his second National Coach of the Year honors.
