Since becoming CEO in 2014, Epley has doubled the asset size of the Long Beach Community Foundation, where she works with over 160 philanthropic funds, manages $52 million in charitable dollars, fosters philanthropy in Long Beach, and assists the non-profit sector through endowments.
In 2017, she spearheaded a citywide effort called Around the Table, an event that brought more than 3,000 residents to gatherings to discuss ways to build a better city and change policy.
Epley worked with the Knight Foundation to collaborate with Long Beach-area media to create a series on the city’s digital divide. She also established the Long Beach Media Collaborative in hopes to increase coverage and quality of journalism in the city.
In 2016, she received the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Community Impact Award and was named to the Long Beach Post’s “40 under 40” list. She was also named the Rotarian of the Year and the Business Journal’s 2018 “Visionary Woman” of the year.
Epley serves on several community boards and organizations, including the Long Beach City College Foundation Board of Governors, the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Advisory Board, the Long Beach Rotary Club, the Long Beach Rotary Charitable Foundation, the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Estate Planning & Trust Council of Long Beach.
