As founder and CEO of MGA Entertainment, the largest private toy company in the world, Larian is the driving force behind award-winning brands such as Little Tikes, Lalaloopsy, Bratz, Num Noms, Project Mc2 and others.
Project Mc² was created to inspire girls to engage in STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) activities. A line of dolls with STEAM experiment kits debuted with a Netflix series, for which Larian is an executive producer.
Has been actively involved in the toy industry since 1979, garnering numerous industry and entrepreneurship awards, including the U.S. winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2007, and locally in 2004.
Determined to live out the American Dream, Larian arrived in the U.S. in the early 1970s at the age of 17 with $750 in his pocket. He put himself through Cal State LA on a dishwasher’s wages, earning a degree in civil engineering.
Active in several charitable foundations that focus on helping children and families, including the LeBron James Family Foundation, City of Hope and the Hope Foundation.
In 2015, Larian served as commencement speaker for Cal State LA’s College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology.
