  • Dahl serves as senior editor at New York magazine’s The Cut, where she leads the health and psychology coverage.
  • She co-founded “Science of Us” in 2014, New York’s popular social science website and has worked as a health writer and editor for NBCNews.com and TODAY.com.
  • Dahl began her career as an intern at The Sacramento Bee and she has since been published in The New York Times, Elle, The Guardian, TIME, Parents and Aeon.
  • She has appeared on MSNBC, Buzzfeed’s “AM2DM” and the “Today” how, and she’s spoken at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, SXSW and 92Y.
  • She published her first book, “Cringeworthy: A Theory of Awkwardness,” in 2018 about the psychological science behind embarrassment, self-consciousness, awkwardness and all the things that make us cringe.​
