One of 12 former foster youth from across the nation named a White House Champion of Change for his courageous leadership as an inspirational advocate in his community.
Led policy campaigns resulting in California’s first foster care landmark bill giving foster youth access to higher education, employment opportunities, and stable housing until age 21.
Appointed to the National Council on Crime and Delinquency’s County of Alameda LGBTQ Task Force where his work helped usher reforms of the juvenile and adult criminal justice systems.
Served as the Vice President of the California Youth Connection, a youth-led advocacy group aimed towards improving and reforming California’s child welfare system.
At San Francisco State, he was part of the Guardian Scholars Program which assists former foster youth achieve their college degree. He helped shape the program to better serve the needs of future students.
