Launched Cecchetti Wine Company in 2006. The company strives to produce wines of excellent value from California, especially the emerging growing area of Lake County, California. The company produces Redtree, Line 39, and Backhouse wine brands.
Redtree Wines sold 100,000 cases in its first year of operation.
Redtree received consecutive Impact “Hot Prospect” awards in 2008 and 2009, and was named a “Best Buy” and a top five wine bargain by Consumer Reports. Redtree and Line 39 were both awarded “Rising Star Growth Brand” awards by Beverage Information Group in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
One of Inc. magazine’s “500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America” three years in a row, 1998-2000.
Finalist in Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2000 and 2001 for his role in leading the wine company.
Prior to entering the wine industry, managed finance, accounting, human resources, budgeting and governmental reporting for several large corporations, including Bechtel Group Inc., JDS Uniphase, and Bertolli Olive Oil Company.
