Becoming a professor in business and technology will allow me to inspire the next generation of innovators.

2024

The biggest challenge Juan Sibrian had to overcome—besides health challenges—was the belief that college was not meant for him.

The Cal State San Bernardino junior is majoring in business administration. Juan participated in the International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition, in which he served as CEO and COO of his company. His team won runner-up for Best Overall Performance. In the Sunstone CSU Startup Launch Competition, he and his team placed third in the Business Model category.

Juan volunteered more than 900 hours during his two previous academic years: 450 hours fighting food insecurity at Find Food Bank and 450 hours mentoring high school students in the Gents Alliance Program with OneFuture Coachella Valley. He finds community service extremely rewarding and plans to continue volunteering throughout his life.

Juan plans to earn master’s and doctoral degrees on his way to becoming a professor and serial entrepreneur to help inspire and educate the next generation of civic-minded leaders.
