​​Patrick Emmanuel Sangalang is pursuing his master’s degree in computer science at Cal State LA. He has overcome numerous obstacles to pursue his passions and proudly serves as a role model for his younger siblings and youth in his community. 

With his passion for computer science, Patrick hopes to inspire young people to consider career possibilities in the STEM fields through higher education. Driven by his commitment to serve, he mentors middle schoolers residing in Los Angeles’ Eastside. 

Patrick plans to go into cybersecurity to protect networks and programs from attacks to ensure that sensitive information is not compromised.
