Having already received his bachelors degree with honors from
UCLA, Anthony Green is now in his second year at California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona, pursuing a masters degree in
educational multimedia.
Anthony is committed to serving underrepresented and community
college students. His sensitivity to and understanding of the
diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
of students has been developed and strengthened through his
professional career, mentorship/volunteer experiences, and
undergraduate and graduate studies.
Anthony volunteers as the career education advisor and student
mentor for high school foster youth at Kashif University. He also
volunteers in the Compton and Long Beach school districts where
he teaches career and technical education skills to at-risk middle and
high school students. Additionally, he counsels incoming graduate
students at Cal Poly Pomona regarding career mapping and resume
strategies.
While Anthonys path has been filled with difficult obstacles, he
stays focused, maintaining a 3.74 GPA and striving for his ultimate
goal of creating interactive educational products.
