Founded in 1954, the John and Beverly Stauffer Foundation supports programs that help young people. The directors of the Stauffer Foundation know of the many financial challenges facing college students today and have been longtime supporters of the CSU Trustees' Awards for Outstanding Achievement.
One of the directors of the John and Beverly Stauffer Foundation is its treasurer Laurence K. Gould, Jr., who served as a CSU Trustee from 1996 to 2002 and chaired the CSU Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2002. The other directors of the Stauffer Foundation are Brooke B. Tinney, President; Ben A. Schuck III, Vice President; Leslie S. Bartleson, Vice President; Winifred H. Rutter, Secretary, and Caroline Bartleson.
