Next Steps

  1. Launch your Cal State Apply application through CaliforniaColleges.edu.
  2. Select any or all 10 CSU universities you've been admitted to, and any additional CSUs you are interested in applying to.*
  3. ​Complete the remaining questions and submit. ​No essays, letters of recommendations and/or portfolios required.
  4. Use your coupon code on the mailer you received to submit one application for free.
  5. Receive your official acceptance letter from a CSU.​
  6. Apply for financial aid through Califor​niaColle​ges.edu.
  7. Confirm your Intent to Enroll by the campus deadline. 
  8. Complete any additional enrollment steps, such as attending orientation, paying tuition fees and providing final transcripts or other documentation.

*Some impacted campuses and/or majors may have additional admission requirements. You are already admitted to the 10 identified universities. Your admission to them qualifies you to submit one application for free.

What is the CSU Direct Admission Pilot Program?

The California State University, in partnership with the Riverside County Office of Education has established a direct admission pilot program. Eligible high school seniors enrolled in Riverside County public school districts receive direct admission to the CSU for fall 2025.

As part of this pilot, the CSU has received information indicating your CSU eligibility.

Can I enroll without submitting a Cal State Apply application since I've been admitted?

You must apply to the university you are interested in and be accepted. Complete enrollment involves many additional enrollment steps, such as registering for classes, paying tuition fees and providing final transcripts or other documentation.

Can I apply to a CSU other than the 10 I've been admitted to?

Yes, you can apply to any of the 23 universities.

What do I need to maintain my offer of admission?

You need to complete all your A-G coursework with passing grades and meet the minimum CSU freshman admission requirements by the time you graduate from high school. Keep up your progress and finish strong!​

If I’ve previously applied to a California State University for fall 2024 without using the coupon code sent to me, can I request a refund?

Unfortunately, we will not provide refunds, but you are welcome to apply to an additional California State University.

If I am eligible for an application fee waiver, will this coupon code affect my eligibility?

No, if you are eligible for an application fee waiver, you will be able to apply to up to five campuses, free of charge.
