Dr. Jadalla is passionate about research and evidence-based practice translation and has mentored more than 20 undergraduate, graduate, and DNP students. She teaches courses focusing on nursing research and evidence-based practice across all levels of collegiate nursing education. Her clinical background is adult oncology, and she has conducted and overseen various research studies that focus on oncology patients and their caregivers.

Dr. Jadalla's research expertise includes the interplay of culture and health, cancer caregivers' strain and burden, and evidence-based practice translation. She strongly believes in closing the gap between service and academia and volunteers in efforts towards achieving that goal. She serves on the Oncology Nursing Society caregiver strain national team and authored a systematic review article on caregiver strain published in 2020 in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing. She serves as an academic member on the Kaiser Permanente Academy of Evidence-Based Practice and published two integrative reviews focusing on pain resource nurse programs, in Critical Care Nursing Quarterly (2016), and Nurse-to-Nurse Incivility, Hostility, and Workplace Violence, in Nursing Administration Quarterly (2019).

Dr. Jadalla published numerous papers including her dissertation study on translating and validating a measurement tool to assess acculturation, used in more than 32 studies and projects focusing on immigrants in the U.S. and Europe. Dr. Jadalla consults in research design and evidence translation at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and received a Western Institute of Nursing award for her mentorship activities at Hoag. She is a member of the prestigious Western Academy of Nurses. ​
