The
California Department of Social Services (CDSS) funds
qualified non-profits to provide immigration legal services
free of charge in the following categories:
- Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) application assistance
- Other immigration remedies application assistance
- Naturalization; legal training and technical assistance; and education and outreach application assistance
- Legal screening to identify potential immigration pathways
These non-profit organizations provide legal services to immigrants residing in California free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

Qualified non-profits are directly connected to all 23 CSU campuses. CSU students, faculty, and staff can check with their respective campus to find more information about hours of operation, how to make an appointment, and the location of legal services.
