Item 960 - Corrected Transaction Identifier

When correcting or voiding a transaction, this item identifies the position number of the transaction to be corrected or voided. It is entered only on the prompter screen and is used to aid the computer in processing a correct (Transaction Code Suffix ’C’) or void (Transaction Code Suffix ’V’) transaction.

Coding:	Enter 960 and Position Number of the transaction code to be corrected or voided. When voiding and re-entering another transaction, enter the 960 code and the Position Number of the transaction to be voided. The Effective Date of the transaction to be voided cannot be entered on the prompter screen. However, you should enter the effective date on the PIMS transaction to ensure the correct transaction is being voided. (See example below)
