​The digital transformation that takes place in almost every sector in society urges Dr. Wei Wu to rethink the way higher education should prepare students for academic and career success. In both his teaching and research undertakings, Dr. Wu has been challenging and engaging students with innovative educational and information technology solutions. Dr. Wu works closely with industry leaders to integrate 3D modeling, mobile computing, Virtual & Mixed Reality in classroom teaching and undergraduate research, and involves students in service-learning and other high-impact practices to cultivate the next-generation construction management and engineering workforce. Dr. Wu’s work has been funded by many agencies including the National Science Foundation (NSF). Dr. Wu is the recipient of the 2019 Provost’s Award for Innovation.
