HAPPY HOLIDAYS

​Whether you celebrate Kwanzaa, Hanukkah or Christmas, the holidays are going to look a little different this year with smaller, or even virtual, gatherings. While this might make you utter, "Stink! Stank! Stunk!," nothing can extinguish the holiday spirit or the feeling of family and goodwill the season brings. As the CSU community takes a moment to recharge and celebrate, here’s a look back at some of the merriment of years past. ​

SAN FRANCISCO

Despite all the holiday fun December can bring, it can bring stress, too, thanks to exams. That’s why San Francisco State’s Student Health Services has made it a tradition to bring furry, four-legged helpers to campus to help students feel festive, even during finals week.

SAN DIEGO

CHICO

For nearly 30 years, staff at Chico State have supported what is now the Joy of Giving program, generating thousands of gifts each December for families in need. In 2019, bikes, toys, warm clothes and electronics were donated to 114 children from 49 families so every child could experience the magic of the holiday season.

During finals week in December, President Gayle Hutchinson, her wife, Linda, and members of the cabinet visit Meriam Library to offer cookies and mandarins to students who are squeezing in their last bit of studying.

On December 1, 2016, 20 tons of snow, along with an ice rink, were brought to CSUCI’s campus to give students a break from studies.
