Co-Founder of GetEQUAL (2010), an LGBT civil rights organization that uses direct action and online organizing to pressure decision-makers to work toward LGBT equality, McGehee is a nationally-recognized LGBTQ+ and civil rights activist.
She was the co-director of the National Equality March; Washington D.C. (2009).
Spearheaded and organized the “Meet in the Middle” rally for equality in 2009, a response to California's passage of Proposition 8.
Named a "Person of the Year” by Advocate magazine (2009).
Fresno State Alumni Association’s Outstanding Top Dog Alumna Awardee (2015).
