Isaiah Armond Jamal Henderson is a second-year graduate student at Chico State studying kinesiology with an emphasis in adapted physical education. A Teaching Interdisciplinary Education and Research (TIER) scholar, he found his true passion as a volunteer working with individuals with disabilities when he was a first-year graduate student. Isaiah serves as the treasurer for the Student Veteran Organization and is a peer advisor for Chico State student veterans who are transitioning to civilian life.

​After finishing his master’s degree, Isaiah plans to teach high school students with disabilities how to be physically active and develop a lifelong appreciation for movement.
