The California State University is one of the biggest university systems in the U.S. The majority of hardworking CSU students have unique backgrounds, a wide range of life experiences, and over a third of them are the first generation of their families to attend college.

• 62% of all bachelor's degrees granted to California's Hispanic students are conferred by the CSU.
  
• 47% of all bachelor's degrees granted to the state's African American students are conferred by the CSU.
• 43% of all bachelor's degrees granted to California's American Indian/Alaska Native students are conferred by the CSU.
• 38% of all bachelor's degrees granted to the state's Asian/Asian American students are conferred by the CSU.
