Established by the California Legislature or by CSU Executive Order, these waivers may be granted to qualifying students at the campus president's discretion. For more information on waivers, please contact your campus admissions office. 

CA Residents 60 Years of Age or Older

Applies to:

​California Residents 60 years of age or older taking state supported classes (not through extended education) at the CSU.

Students from universities outside the United States, attending the CSU per an exchange agreement.

Non-Resident Students with Financial Need/Scholastic Achievement (not participating in international exchange)

Applies to:

Non-resident students, not a part of the international exchange program, with financial and or scholastic achievement.

Financial Hardship – Undergraduate Student Only

Applies to:

CSU student with financial hardship can waive application fee as described in the authorities listed below .
