The CSU international recruitment representatives began meeting as a group in 2010 while on the road in Southern California attending college transfer fairs. The CSU International Forum and conference was established in 2016 in order to provide a space for CSU colleagues involved in international sectors of their respective campuses to come together, connect, exchange ideas, and discuss topics relevant to international areas at the CSU. With this new conference, the committee had the flexibility to expand and include other areas of international education: International Student Services, International Recruitment, and International Admissions. In 2018, the committee added the Study Abroad Knowledge Community.
