This office coordinates and facilitates the review and approval of new academic degree programs, assists in the development and implementation of policy on General Education and other curricular matters, addresses graduate education issues and ensures that facilities planning is linked to academic program planning.
The Academic Senate of the California State University (ASCSU) provides the means for the faculty to participate in the collegial form of governance based on historic academic traditions.
Academic Technology Services's mission is to identify, advance and support academic technology initiatives that enable student success through effective collaboration with our campus communities.
Every year, the CSU prepares the majority of California's new K-12 teachers. The CSU is committed to strengthening pedagogical professional development and conducting research on K-12 teaching and learning.
This office is responsible for systemwide student programming in study abroad and the arts. We also support campus commitments to high-quality international and arts programming and advise on policy in these areas.
Institutional Research and Analyses helps provide analytic support for CSU efforts in planning, policy and accountability.
PaCE develops a growing inventory of courses and certificate and degree programs delivered on campus as well as off-site, online, and via other technologies.
This department contributes systemwide support and promotion for CSU research, scholarship and creative activities. We foster and seek out external support for mission-related initiatives and partnerships that are systemwide or involve multiple campuses.
Strategic Enrollment Management supports the CSU’s mission of access and opportunity through supporting student recruitment, school relations, admission, matriculation, financial aid and strategic planning across the system’s 23 universities.

The Department of Student Success drives Graduation Initiative 2025 efforts as a primary goal. It fosters external partnerships and develops strategic systemwide policies through the Center for Community Engagement and External Relations as well as promotes campus cultures of evidence across the CSU by providing analytics-driven insights and innovative professional development opportunities that facilitate timely degree completion and the elimination of equity gaps.
Every July this multidisciplinary program based at Fresno State offers academic credit in the visual, performing and literary arts as well as a festival open to the public.
