EdQ Welcomes New Team Member
Kemi Suleiman joined the EdQ Center as our Educator Quality Support Analyst in March, 2022. Kemi has quickly become a positive force in the EdQ Center and her optimistic attitude is an inspiration to her EdQ colleagues and our campus partners. She has excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills that help her understand the needs of CSU educator preparation programs and provide timely, effective solutions. Kemi's primary role at EdQ will be to coordinate and manage EdQ's survey operation. In addition, she will help with data requests, budget and other administrative duties.
Kemi's professional career has been shaped by her experiences living, schooling, and working on three continents – Africa, Europe, and North America. These experiences have helped Kemi develop her ability to adapt to diverse educational systems in different cultures. She is a focused and strategic data professional and boasts many years of operational and administrative experience in varied fields including information technology, advertising, oil & gas, consultancy, and, of course, education.
Kemi came to EdQ from the Office of International Education at CSU Dominguez Hills where she helped coordinate the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) project that establishes comparable national standards for interstate postsecondary distance education. Before that she was the Management Information & School Data Manager at GEMS Education, Dubai, leading the planning, development, design, organization, and monitoring of their data management system. She holds a master's degree in education from CSU Dominguez Hills and an MBA from University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
During her free time, Kemi volunteers by helping with pre-marriage counseling as a way to give back to the community as part of her vision for kids to have a safe environment full of happiness and peace. She is an avid reader and enjoys staying abreast of current events.
