The first step to removing administrative barriers is identifying them. To do so, campuses are developing cross-divisional committees, or task forces, to analyze student-related systems and offer recommendations to make university systems more efficient.
In a national survey, 80% of students said that they expect to graduate in four years; the CSU is removing the barriers found to interfere with meeting that expectation.
Updating the registration process, reworking “drop for- non-payment” policies and readmission are common barriers that are being addressed by CSU campuses.
Administrative barriers can include unnecessary or overly burdensome policies and procedures that may delay the graduation process.
