Online/ Hybrid Education

Goal:​

Increase the quality, capacity and sharing of online teaching and learning. Creating educational opportunities and new pathways for students by expanding access to courses and programs through innovative technology and support curricula offered by CSU campuses.

ATS Strategies for Online Education:

  • Collaboratively develop and deliver professional development opportunities in using technologies for faculty to:
    • develop and deliver online and blended courses that incorporate high-impact learning practices and meet quality standards (i.e., QLT, QM)  
    • apply Universal Design for Learning principles and instructional materials accessibility to ensure all students have equitable opportunities to learn and succeed

  • Collaboratively deliver and support online technologies that strengthen:
    • advising services and support, essential to keep students engaged from enrollment through graduation
    • ensure accessibility and academic integrity to learning and teaching for all students and faculty, including those with disabilities
    • use innovative technologies and not be constrained to use a narrow palette of technology, be encouraged to innovate and adopt the best tools and open educational resources

  • Collaboratively develop and implement marketing and outreach campaigns for online programs with:
    • strategies to increase enrollment, retention and degree completion by recognizing the challenges imposed by technology, laws, and culture
    • innovative technologies and partners to enable easy discovery online programs and courses across the CSU 

  • Create a standardized, centralized and comprehensive brand identity and outreach support structure for all aspects of online and hybrid CSU academic program deliver​y
    • centrally share systems, tools and technologies, eliminate redundancies, and identify efficiencies where appropriate
