Civil Rights Programming and Services

The California State University is committed to maintaining an inclusive and equitable community that values diversity and fosters mutual respect. The safety and well-being of our communities, as well as ensuring every university has a safe working and learning environment is a priority for the CSU. 

The Chancellor’s Office Civil Rights Programming and Services unit oversees and supports the work of our Title IX and other civil rights (Title VI/Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (DHR)) professionals throughout the California State University system.

The Chancellor’s Office Civil Rights Programming and Services unit develops and ensures consistent interpretation and implementation of the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking and Retaliation as well as guiding infrastructure and supporting CSU’s culture of care and compliance.

Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (DHR)

The CSU Nondiscrimination Policy protects people from discrimination based on age, disability, gender, gender identity or expression genetic information, marital status, nationality, race or ethnicity (including color, caste and ancestry), religion, sexual orientation, and veteran or military status.
