Definition:

The assigned employee type for the Class Code. Refer also to Employee Category Name and Probationary/Tenure Track.

 

Note:In the PS file, only the legal Secretary (Class Code 1290), a classification that is now abolished, has had an employee category code that varied by range.

 

Coding Values:

1 = Nonacademic (1 year)

2 = Administrative (2 years)​1

3 = Academic Primarily Instructional (Title 5)

4 = Academic Closely Related (Title 5)

5 = Academic Administrative Assignment (Title 5)

6 = Executive (No Tenure)

7 = Miscellaneous (Not Eligible For Tenure Track)

8 = Management Personnel Plan (Not Eligible For Tenure Track)
