You can create labels with CIRS data on your laser printer using Microsoft Word and Excel. The steps are as follows:
Step 1:
Gather the CIRS data needed for your labels and hold the data to a permanent hold file in a format for importing to Excel. In the example below, the fields needed for employee name and home address are being held to PERMSML in a LOTUS format. For additional information on creating hold files, refer to your CIRS User Manual.

Step 2:
Download the data in your permanent hold file to your PC, and then import the data into an Excel spreadsheet. Before saving your spreadsheet, insert a new row before the first line and label the data in each column. For instructions on downloading, refer to your CIRS User Manual. Step 3:
Next, create a Word document for mailing labels using the Mail Merge function and select the Excel spreadsheet created in Step 2 above as the data source. For instructions on creating mailing labels, refer to Help in Word.
