When you execute report requests in the online FOCUS environment, the reports are displayed in the hot screen. Below are navigation options that can be invoked by using the function keys or by typing commands on the last line of the hot screen.
Scrolling Forward and Backward
When a report exceeds one page (20 lines), the message MORE will display in the bottom right corner of the screen. The remaining report lines can be viewed by scrolling forward. When there are no more report lines to view, END-OF-REPORT will display at the bottom of the screen.

To scroll forward one page at a time, press the F8 key.

To scroll directly to the last page of the report, type BOTTOM on the last line of the hot screen.

To scroll forward by a specific number of pages, type DOWN n on the last line of the hot screen, where n is the number of pages. If n is omitted, the default value is 1.
The following options are available for scrolling backward through reports.

To scroll backward one page at a time, press the F7 key.

To scroll directly to the first page of the report, type TOP on the last line of the hot screen.

To scroll backward by a specific number of pages, type UP n on the last line of the hot screen, where n is the number of pages. If n is omitted, the default value is 1.
Scroll Right and Left
When a report exceeds the width of a screen (80 characters) the message MORE => will display in the bottom right corner of the screen. You can view the remaining report by scrolling horizontally to the right.

To scroll horizontally to the right one screen at a time, press the F11 key.

To scroll horizontally to the right for a specific number of characters, type RIGHT n on the last line of the hot screen where n is the number of characters. If n is omitted, it defaults to 4 characters.

To scroll horizontally from a particular column, move the cursor to that column's location and press PF10 to scroll left or PF11 to scroll right.
The following options are available for scrolling horizontally to the left of reports.

To scroll horizontally to the left one screen at a time, press the F10 key.

To scroll horizontally to the left for a specific number of characters, type LEFT n on the last line of the hot screen, where n is the number of characters. If n is omitted, it defaults to half of a screen.

To scroll directly back to the first screen, press PF9 or type RESET.
Locate Character Strings
When verifying the results of your report request, you can search for a particular set of letters or numbers by using the locate command.

To locate a character string in a report, press the F5 key and type the string immediately after the prompt (/). Press enter to begin the search. Alternately, type the LOCATE/string on the last line of the hot screen and press enter.

FOCUS will only search forward from the page where the search was initiated. If a string is located, the cursor will be positioned under the first occurrence of the string in the report.

To locate the next occurrence of the string (if any), press the enter key. If the string is not found, the message NOT FOUND will display at the bottom of the screen.

Search strings cannot contain blanks.
