CIRS operates within IBM’s Time Sharing Option (TSO3) environment on the State Controller’s Office (SCO) computer located at the Gold Camp Campus of the Office of Technology Services. Therefore, the SCO must be advised of and approve changes to the telecommunication environment used to access the SCO’s computer. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
addition of desktop computers, terminals or printers
-
conversion to LAN’s, WAN’s
-
replacement of control units with gateways, routers or bridges
Requests to add or change hardware used for CIRS, can be submitted to HR-Data Operations on Form CIRS001 after the SCO has approved the new devices. Refer to the CIRS001 form for completion instructions.
For questions regarding the SCO's teleprocessing security requirements, contact Georgia Matthews of the State Controller's Office at (916) 322-3055 or by email at [email protected].
